We are a family of God’s people which seeks to honour Jesus Christ and serve our local community!
Our Mission:
Brook Lane Community Church is a family of God's people drawn from the local community and existing to share the love of God through Jesus Christ with the whole community:
- We are community-centred and community-based.
- We strive to share God's message of freedom, healing and wholeness for everyone through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- We strive to help each person understand how God can empower and equip them to be the person God wants them to be.
- We strive to care for each individual as both a whole person and a unique person, showing the love of God through physical as well as spiritual help.
Our Core Values:
Bible
We are a Bible-Centred church. We believe that the Bible is God’s authoritative Word and place emphasis on regular good Bible teaching and encourage each member in personal study.
Prayer
We believe that apart from God we can do nothing. We value dependence on God through earnest and regular prayer ministry.
Holy Spirit
We depend on the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit. We aim to live lives that are led by the Spirit and open ourselves to His power, gifts, and works.
Serving Our Community
We seek to reach out into our community to express the saving and transforming love of Jesus Christ in a practical way through both words and deeds.
Growing And Serving
Christ sent us into the world to make disciples: people who strive to be like Him. We seek to help every Christian to mature and be changed into the image of Christ. We actively encourage everyone to use their gifts in the service of others.
One Family
We believe that every person matters as part of God’s family and value the care and support of each individual. We place great emphasis on warm fellowship and sharing.
Welcoming and Inclusive
We value friendliness, warmth, fellowship and hospitality. We strive to be a church that welcomes people of all ages, genders, cultures and backgrounds.
World Focus
We have a strong interest in what God is doing in other parts of the world and actively support our mission partners in a number of different countries.
Honouring God Through Praise
We believe God deserves our best praise and value vibrant, rich and diverse praise and worship styles. In our worship services we remember Jesus’ death for our sins by sharing communion together on a regular basis.
Networking
We value working together with other churches and organisations in our community.
