As you know we are in unprecedented times not just as a nation, but in our world. This will require a different way of working and meeting for all of us. Whatever happens, we can be sure nothing will separate us from God’s love. (Romans 8:38-39)
The latest government guidance on tackling the coronavirus has been to limit social contact which includes religious gatherings. The church leadership have been deliberating and praying about how this affects our church meetings and activities. We must reduce the spread of the virus but to maintain and strengthen the support and fellowship of the church.
Given the current announcements from the government, we have decided on the following measures for the time being:

Sundays
• Sunday meetings in the building will be suspended until further notice.
• However, we will be live streaming this Sunday Service at the normal time from 10.30am to 12 noon so you are able to participate via your phone, tablet or computer. Watch our live stream at blcchurch.org.uk/live.
• During the streaming of the services, please do not come to the building unless specifically requested to do so as you will not be allowed entry.

Midweek services and activities
• All church ministries and clubs involving gathering are suspended with immediate effect for an indefinite period unless there are any changes in guidance.
• We are keen however, to ensure that the church remains connected, encouraged and supported during this period and therefore, we are exploring options for Kingdom Groups to meet online. We will send you guidance separately on how you can connect in this way.
• If you are not yet in a Kingdom Group (perhaps because you cannot normally get out to a face-to-face meeting), then I urge you to please email the office at info@blcchurch.org.uk.

Pastoral Support
• Should you have any pastoral support needs, please contact members of your Kingdom Group or your Kingdom Group leader.
• If you are serving in a team, then please speak to your team members or your team leader.
• You can also contact the church office on 020 8697 6743 or info@blcchurch.org.uk during office hours and we will get back to you.
• Let us remember that we are called to be salt and light in our community by lending our support to our vulnerable neighbours.

Please Pray
• Let’s pray for those affected by this virus, for those involved with healthcare and for those in government responsible for making decisions.
• Let’s be a people full of compassion, responding out of faith and not fear.
The Bible reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.”
Let us remember this as we move forward in these unusual times.
