New to BLCChurch? Whether it's your first time with us, you're already part of the family, or anywhere inbetween - a very warm welcome.

If you're not familiar with us, or you'd like to find out a bit more about who we are and what we do, then you're in the right place. There's loads of information below about our beliefs, what our Sunday mornings look like, and what we get up to during the week. So take your time, and engage with us.

If you'd like any more information about anything you read on this page, then please feel free to connect with us - there are several ways to do that, and you can find out how by clicking here.

WHAT DO WE DO ON SUNDAYS?

Our Sunday morning service is lively, contemporary, and family friendly.

From 10.30am we have a flexible time of modern worship lead by our worship team (who you may have seen at other events around Bromley from time to time), and helped along by anyone in the room who wishes to pray out or share a word.

After that we have separate times of worship and teaching for our adults, children and young people - including a creche facility with a live video feed from the main hall for those with young children who don't want to miss out.

At around 12pm, or shortly afterwards, we all come back together for a chance to have a catch-up with friends, or discuss what we have learned, over tea and coffee. Occasionally we also stay for a shared lunch after the service, or even go for a picnic if the weather is nice enough.

REGULAR EVENTS

We run regular events for all ages throughout the week. For one-off special events, be sure to check our Facebook page regularly.

FAMILIES

We have events for the whole family, whatever the ages, which run during term-time.

Our mothers and toddlers group New Beginnings meets every Wednesday during term-time at 9.30am.

Run by the lovely people who have helped to bring up many of those now leading our church, New Beginnings is a great social time for parents and babies alike.

Our Community Cafe - The Brook Cafe is open from 10 until 3 every Thursday during term time. It's a great place to unwind, with hot food and drinks available at reasonable prices, and an unsupervised play area for kids.

KINGDOM GROUPS

We believe that it is important not to just meet on Sunday mornings, but during the week as well. We encourage all of our members to join one of our several small groups which meet at different locations and different times during the week. These groups are a great opportunity for fellowship, friendship, encouragement, Bible study, prayer and worship.

If you are interested in joining a Kingdom Group then please get in touch.

PRAYER AND WORSHIP

Our week begins with an early morning prayer meeting on Mondays at 6.30am. We also have another early morning meeting at the same time on Fridays.

For those who can't quite make it that early in the morning, there is also an intercessory prayer meeting at 7.30pm on Mondays.

On the first Thursday of every month, we meet at 7.45pm for a time of prayer and worship, where we encourage our whole church to attend.

Occasionally we meet up for one-off prayer events as a part of a larger group of churches. Details of these meetings are usually announced via our email bulletin, on Sunday mornings, or via our Facebook Page.

We Believe...

...in one God in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

...that God created the world, rules the world, and sent his Son Jesus to save the world.

...that God is loving and full of grace, that He forgives us when we truly repent.

...that God is holy and just and will judge the evil that he hates in the world.

...in the Bible – Old and New Testaments – as being truth inspired by God and having authority to guide and direct our daily lives.

...that Jesus is God’s Son, that he was both God and man and that he lived completely without sin.

...that Jesus died on the cross to pay the price for all of our wrong doing, making it possible to be in relationship with God.

...that Jesus physically rose from the dead, ascended to Heaven and will one day return to establish a new Heaven and new Earth.

We are a member church of the Evangelical Alliance, and follow their Basis of Faith, which you can read in full on their website.
